RUSSIAN MODERNISM
Russian Modernism is a broad term
covering the innovative painting,
sculpture, theatre, design, and decorative
arts in Russia, c.1900-1930. Russian Modernism includes the art of the
Symbolists and the World of Art, as well as
all the Russian Avant-Garde groups - from
the Neo-Primitivism of the Donkey's Tail,
the Fauvism of the Knave of Diamonds, to Cubism, Futurism, Suprematism, Non-Objectivism, Constructivism, and Productivism.

ABOUT InCoRM
The
International Chamber of Russian Modernism, InCoRM, was founded in
Paris on 14th April 2007 by independent specialist Experts in Russian
art historical and scientific fields. It was registered as a non-profit
organisation (NPO) in Paris in February 2008.
The aim of InCoRM is to promote Russian Modernism so as to meet the
increasing demand amongst art historians, collectors, museums, arts
institutions and the market, for a coherent and unified approach.
InCoRM's commitment is to freedom in all aspects of its activities and
relies on the highest scholarly, professional and ethical standards.
InCoRM has two branches of activity: Research and Consultancy. Research
carried out by art historians and scientific Experts is published in
the Journal of InCoRM, while the Library
will carry a wide range of source material available to Experts.
Members and the public. Informed and scholarly work is the foundation
which underlies the authority of InCoRM's consultancy. Consultancy by
InCoRM's experts and the interaction of art historians and scientists
is available to museums in the organisation of exhibitions, to
individual collectors, and to museums, galleries and auction houses.
InCoRM welcomes a wide membership of academics in related fields, of
art institutions and of art galleries, to create a dynamic interaction
and dialogue on its Forum concerning all that is historical and topical
in Russian Avant-Garde and Russian Modernism.
